The 14th Nation Rally of all Caravan Clubs from Australia will be held at Elmore Special Events Centre with the gates opening on 30 December 2010 for days of making new friends, fun and entertainment.

A lot of discussion was held in relation to the use of showgrounds for RV travelers and it seems that the main problem states are Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Report on the Milton Showground Get-together

20^th to 27^th May 2009.

The Get-together commenced with a couple of wet days, however this did not interfere with a visit south to Mogo Zoo on Thursday for a few and on Friday to see "The Reader" at the movies for most. The movie was very popular with some Club husbands now reading to their spouses.

Queensland Parks and Wildlife (QPW) has offered all people booked to camp on Fraser Island between 8 and 13 March free camping for the days they did not use.  If alternative camping is unavailable or unacceptable, a refund of the payment for the unused days can be made.

As part of our ongoing efforts in working with Councils and local authorities for the benefit of all mobile travellers, the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia Limited (CMCA) has established the Leave No Trace Self Containment Code of Conduct Scheme.

This Scheme is designed to show authorities that self-contained vehicles need not have a negative impact on the environment, even if a campsite has no facilities.

When the CMCA appoint a RV Friendly town they do so for all travellers. The following article has been supplied to us by the CMCA, with their permission, explaining the criterior that has to be met to become an RV friendly town.

If your caravan, having electric brakes, has a Tekonsha breakaway switch (usually mounted on the "A" frame), it may be inoperative and corroded internally.

From 1 July 2008 there will be changes to NSW Road Rules.  Some of the rules have only minor amendments but all will attract fines and some will also attract demerit point penalites.
