Another North Queensland Tourist Season is in full swing as there are enormous numbers of caravans and motorhomes travelling around this delightfully scenic part of Australia.

The Club has a lot to offer Club members this winter with cheap site fees and top locations i.e. Yeppoon, Ross Dam, Townsville Showground and if that is all a bit dull for you, join the trip of a lifetime to Cape York, Thursday Island, Horn Island and so many different points in between.  The tour will be departing Townsville on 1^st August and returning to Townsville approximately 5^th September 2008, just in time to start returning to beat the northern heat and the wet season.

Don't forget, members, that if you are in the Rockhampton area in early June, you are most welcome to attend the Northern and Southern divisions' Get-Together at Keppel Sands from 3^rd June - 10^th June.

Again, if members are in the Townsville area from 16^th - 21^st July, you are most welcome to attend the H.F. Radio Club's rally at the Ross River Dam campsite at Kelso at a cost of $8.00 per day, per unit, no power. All members are welcome.

On 21^st July Members can transfer from the H.F. Rally to the Townsville Showgrounds until 1^st August 2008 at a cost of $10.00 per day, including power.  The Showgrounds is the meeting place for those travelling to Cape York.  Other members are welcome to stay at the Showgrounds to observe the 4 X 4 ers pack up and leave for the five week tour of the Cape.  Should be interesting taking note of all the different vehicles and their equipment.

Those members not travelling to the cape are quite welcome to stay on at the showgrounds on a powered site at a cost of $25.00 per day for 2 persons.
